Soooo turns out my pday is still on
Monday! Oh boy! So sorry that I told you wrong! Mom, I already know that you
will be sad that I didn’t have an email to read from you, but I know that you
would have written me for sure if you would have known!!
So we did get transfer calls today!
Sister Cropper is leaving us and going to DEBRECEN with Sister Williamson, my
companion from the MTC!!!
I hope you guys had a great week!
I’m excited to hear about it next week!! haha My week was really great! :)
We went out to the Haré Krisna!!
Wow, it was amazing!!! One of the best days of my mission so far! A member here
used to be a Haré Krisna and invited us to go out to see their festival. It was
the Suti festival! They took us into their temple worship room and we were all
singing to their Haré Krisna music. Well the music got super fast and loud and
then they dropped down this huge curtain in the middle of the room, behind it
was 2 tons of Suti!! It was so amazing!!!! I couldn’t believe what I was
seeing!! We were SO welcomed there and I had a ton of people coming up to me
and asking about our religion or just thanking me for my sacrifice to serve God
for this time. I have never had people come up to me and ask questions, (almost
made me feel like I was in America :) ) They were all so so so nice to us and I
had some great talks with the people there about God and our relationship with
him. I really can say that I felt the Spirit there. They worship God from 4:30
am to 9:00 and then multiple times throughout the day. They really do have a
relationship with God and a strong testimony of Him. Our religions have a lot
of differences of course, but I know that the same God is listening and
answering our prayers! I absolutely loved having the opportunity to spend a few
hours with them, make some great friendships and learn more about what they
believe!
They took us out to their “farm”
too! They are completely vegen, except for the milk they get from their own cows.
It was SO crazy to see cows like that! All with headpieces, hair dyed and
paintings. They all had their separate stalls and everyone was singing and
petting them. They were having a special ceremony, because their oldest ox had
just turned 20. It sure made me think of home, going on cattle drives with the
Folsom’s, riding horses, quadding, and branding. I miss it so bad! I love
the city and all, but I loved being away from it all in our cute
little town! I actually couldn’t believe how great they were treating all
of their cows! haha I wish some of the farmers from Hill Spring could see them,
for sure the most spoiled cows I have ever seen! haha
We went into a great big tent after
and they fed us dinner. We all sat on the floor and they came around with huge
pots on wheels and served us. I had a great talk with a guy there, it was so
interesting! We talked for over an hour and had so much in common,
because God (Heavenly Father) plays such a huge role in both of
our lives. It was so great to share testimony with him and to have my own
testimony strengthened as well! Their food was really good, all home grown,
vegen and no garlic or onion. They sent us home with a huge box full of Suti
and thanked us so much for coming!
It was an amazing day, so grateful
that we went! I took a ton of videos of it all, but I can’t send them on this
email account!
These last few weeks have flown by,
it feels like I just started serving with Sister Cropper and Whitaker. I’m
going to miss her a ton!
Love you all!
xoxo
