September 28th, 2015

So Teagen wasn’t able to write a letter for her blog this week but her companion sent us this cute letter so we’ll post it instead! She’s great!

Hello!

This is Sister Giullian. I am sorry to say but I seem to have found some duct tape in our apartment. The bad news is I will be kidnapping your daughter with said duct tape. The good news is, I will feed her nutella and paprikas csirke with nokedli. I do not require any payment as I am a missionary currently and I would have to pay tithing on that money. It says in the white handbook that I cannot ask people for money like that so this is free of charge!!!
As much as I wish this whole ransom thing could work out for real the truth is this is a joke because I love joking around. So I will just leave you with this instead...Your daughter is amazing!! She is such an example to me and has been the best trainer I could have ever asked for. I have learned so much from her and continue to learn so much from her every day. She truly is a disciple of Christ. You raised her well and she is one of the most spectacular people/person (I don't know English) I have ever met. You should be very proud of her.
So yeah, I will fatten her up for you this next week and a half so her stomach will be ready to eat a lot for Thanksgiving!! Have a wonderful day and consider the whole ransom thing because I have never been able to do one before. It might be a cool experience!

Love,
Sister Giullian

This is István :) We’re going to miss him so much!
One of the cutest people that I’ve ever met.
haha Hungarians love their paprika!
The open faced sandwiches that are everywhere over here!
The BEST fruit soup!
Me on my 18 month mark! :)

We had an amazing week! Wow, there is sooo much to tell you! I’ll try to just hit on all that I can as I’m short on time again!
For the funny parts: We had a spiritual thought after English class and they tried to teach about faith. (you have someone hold a bag of water above their head, then you put pencils one by one though it and it doesn’t leak and then you go off about trust, faith etc.) Wellllll the person with the pencils was just a little confused, and tried to shove all 5 pencils through at once! haha Welllll the bag busted and the poor girl kept holding it above her head and was totally soaked!! haha That was a hard one to try and tie back in!
We met with Edit and she is doing well, but something seemed pretty off in the beginning, a few minutes into the lesson. I looked over and she was completely cross-eyed with her eyes barely open then did the jump back and almost fell off of her chair. haha I have never seen someone struggle so bad to stay awake! I’ve never ever had an investigator fall asleep in a program before! haha When we asked her, she had only had one hour of sleep! I felt so bad for her! We were all laughing so hard and set up for a different day to let her go home and sleep!
We met the coolest people tracting this week and saw so many miracles! I wish I could tell you about all of them!
This guy came out and asked us what we were doing. We explained why and he said that he didn’t have time right then, but to come back tomorrow when his family would be home. We went back the next day and had a great program with him and his wife and super cute little daughter Gréta, who is one. We’re so excited to go back!
Yesterday, we met with another amazing family. They are SO darn cute, a Mom Lilla, her husband and little boy Bence, who is 10 and little baby Adria. They all speak English really well and was so cute seeing them help each other with it. We taught them the Restoration and how we can be together as a family forever. We talked about what we need to do in this life so that we can return to our Father in heaven and live with him and our families. The spirit was there so strong and they were listening so intently. They agreed to read and pray about the Book of Mormon. We’re going back next Sunday. It was an amazing end to our week.
This week, I hit my 18th month mark. It was really strange but fun getting texts from the other sisters saying “we made it!” or “we did it!” etc. On my 18th month mark, it was also my 18 days left mark.
I am SO incredibly grateful that I have a little more time out here! I cannot believe that it has already been 18 months! I know that everyone says it, but the time literally flew! It has been the fastest 18 months of my life. I am SO grateful for the time that I have had out here. I just want to take it all in here for my last few weeks! Tomorrow, I have to give my departing testimony in front of everyone. It’s so hard for me to try and explain how I really feel about my mission.
We’re trying our best to work hard! I feel so much peace right now, which is such a huge gift from Heavenly Father.
Have a great week, tell the family how much I love them!
See you soon! :)
